How a PTO Shaft Works on a Spading Machine<\/h2>\n

Power flows from the tractor’s engine through the transmission to the rear PTO stub, which rotates at 540E RPM. The PTO shaft’s tractor-side yoke slides onto this stub via a splined connection (6-spline 1 3\/4″), locking it in rotation. Torque passes through the first cross-and-bearing assembly, down the telescoping profile tube, and through the second cross-and-bearing assembly into the Spading Machine’s input shaft. The profile tube design (Star Profile Tube) provides both torque transmission and axial slide capability, critical as the Spading Machine moves relative to the tractor during fieldwork.
