How a PTO Shaft Works on a Wheeled Tractor<\/h2>\n

Power flows from the tractor’s engine through the transmission to the rear PTO stub, which rotates at 1000 RPM. The PTO shaft’s tractor-side yoke slides onto this stub via a splined connection (6-spline 1 3\/8″), locking it in rotation. Torque passes through the first cross-and-bearing assembly, down the telescoping profile tube, and through the second cross-and-bearing assembly into the Wheeled Tractor’s input shaft.
