How a PTO Shaft Works on a Wheeled Tractor<\/h2>\n

Power flows from the tractor’s engine through the transmission to the rear PTO stub, which rotates at 1000 RPM. The PTO shaft’s tractor-side yoke slides onto this stub via a splined connection (6-spline 1 3\/8″), locking it in rotation. Torque passes through the first cross-and-bearing assembly, down the telescoping profile tube, and through the second cross-and-bearing assembly into the Wheeled Tractor’s input shaft. The profile tube design (Round Tube) provides both torque transmission and axial slide capability, critical as the Wheeled Tractor moves relative to the tractor during fieldwork.
